Stranded distortion
The Tym Guitars Stranded Distortion is a meticulously crafted homage to a legendary piece of guitar history. Reverse-engineered from the very pedal used to record the iconic (I'm) Stranded album by Australian punk pioneers The Saints in 1976, this reproduction captures the essence of that iconic tone. Featuring the same rare NOS 1N276 diodes and ceramic/tantalum capacitors as the original, the Stranded Distortion delivers a rich, dynamic distortion that perfectly encapsulates the raw, gritty sound that defined The Saints' groundbreaking debut. With its simple "Volume" and "Demolition" controls, this pedal allows guitarists to dial in a wide range of saturated tones, from snarling lead lines to thick, distorted chords. What makes the Stranded Distortion truly special is its direct connection to a pivotal moment in music history. Endorsed by The Saints' guitarist Ed Kuepper himself, this limited-edition pedal celebrates the 40th anniversary of the (I'm) Stranded recording, bringing the essence of that legendary tone to a new generation of guitarists. Each unit features custom artwork inspired by the band's origins, housed in a handmade wooden box and accompanied by a signed booklet - a true collector's item for any fan of punk rock or guitar history.
