Electroman MkII Modulated Delay
The Electroman MkII from SolidGoldFX is a modulated digital delay that defies easy categorization. At its core, it's a dual-line delay powered by the venerated PT2399 chip, which has a unique character that blurs the line between analog and digital. The mode toggle lets you choose between standard delay or a cool half-time effect that sends the repeats only to the second delay line, perfect for ambient and shoegaze textures. But the Electroman MkII has more tricks up its sleeve. The second footswitch activates the "warp" feature, which sends the repeats ramping up into self-oscillation for glitchy, spatial soundscapes. Three selectable warp sensitivity settings let you dial in everything from subtle warbles to instant freakouts. Underpinning the delay is an extremely musical modulation circuit with three speed ranges and a generous flutter control. This transforms the Electroman MkII into an instant tape echo simulator, with just the right amount of digital wear and tear. Combine this with the color knob, which lets you sculpt the high-end of the repeats, and you have a delay that can cover everything from pristine digital shimmer to warm, degraded analog tones. The Electroman MkII also features a unique FX loop that lets you insert other pedals into the delay path, opening up a world of sonic possibilities. Whether you're after lush ambient pads, shimmering shoegaze textures, or anything in between, the Electroman MkII has the flexibility and character to be the centerpiece of your pedalboard.
