PS-107 Moving Box Flanger
The Guyatone PS-107 Moving Box Flanger is a rare, vintage analog effects pedal manufactured in Japan during the late 1970s. Part of Guyatone’s early Box series, it is highly regarded by collectors for its warm, lush modulation. At its heart is the legendary Reticon SAD1024 bucket-brigade device (BBD) chip, the same component found in iconic units like the vintage MXR M117 and the 18V Electro-Harmonix Electric Mistress. Known for its versatility, the PS-107 can produce a wide array of sounds, from classic sweeping jet-plane flanging to subtle vibrato, chorus-like textures, and even 12-string guitar emulations. The pedal features four primary controls: Speed for LFO rate, Range for sweep depth, Manual for center shift, and Color for feedback/resonance. Operating on 18V via two 9V batteries or a dedicated power supply, it delivers significant headroom and a thick, organic tone that avoids the "metallic" quality of digital alternatives.
