Milkman Sound x Benson The Amp
Benson The Amp: A Tube-Driven Powerhouse in Pedal Form Benson The Amp is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the sonic wizards at Milkman Sound and the amp gurus at Benson Amps. This compact pedal packs the full tonal character of Benson's revered Monarch and Chimera amplifiers, delivering the harmonic complexity and dynamic response of classic tube amps in a portable, pedalboard-friendly package. At the heart of this marvel lies a high-voltage 12AX7 tube preamp circuit, which works in tandem with a powerful Class D amplifier to produce up to 200 watts of output. This allows The Amp to seamlessly drive speaker cabinets, feed direct recording setups, or function as a standalone preamp pedal, catering to a wide range of playing scenarios. The interactive Volume and Output controls allow you to sculpt your tone, taking you from pristine cleans to rich, saturated overdrive. But the real magic happens with the onboard analog cabinet simulator, which replicates the sound of a miked Benson 1x12 cabinet with a Ceramic 30 speaker, all captured through an AEA N22 ribbon microphone. The Room control then introduces a touch of ambient reflection, emulating the feel of playing in a live space - a game-changing feature for both direct recording and stage use. Benson The Amp also features a Keeley-designed spring-style digital reverb and a footswitchable clean boost circuit, offering up to 24 dB of additional gain for enhanced drive and sustain. Handcrafted in California with premium components, this pedal delivers the authentic tonal essence of Benson's coveted amplifiers in a compact, versatile powerhouse.
