The NOTADÜMBLË V2 is JHS Pedals' second attempt at one of the most audacious ideas in the DIY pedal world: a no-solder kit that lets you assemble your own Dumble-style overdrive at home. The original 2025 kit became legendary for the wrong-slash-right reason — its clean boost channel accidentally contained a recreation of the Dumble BBC-1 preamp (an error so beloved it became the standalone Fumble pedal). V2 fixes the mix-up and completes the original vision: a D-style overdrive channel with Volume, EQ and Drive controls paired with the correct BBC-1-derived clean boost section, the same circuit Alexander Dumble built for John Mayer. Snap-together assembly means anyone can build it in an evening with zero soldering — part of Josh Scott's ongoing mission to demystify the gear world, teaching players what actually lives inside the amps and pedals they worship. The overdrive side chases the smooth, vocal, mid-forward sustain that made Dumble amplifiers trade for the price of houses — think Robben Ford and Larry Carlton's singing lead tones — while the boost adds sparkle and push. A channel slider toggles between personalities. At $119 it is easily the cheapest route to D-style tone that involves actually building the thing yourself, and the first V2 batch sold out on launch day. Note for collectors and players alike: this is sold as a DIY kit rather than a finished pedal, which only adds to its charm.
