x Pile V2 Mirror House Slippery Pitch-Shifter & Oscillator
The Electronic Audio Experiments x Pile V2 Mirror House is a pitch-shifting and detuning pedal developed in collaboration with the band Pile. It creates two pitch-shifted copies of the incoming signal that move in opposite directions—one up and one down—allowing for effects ranging from subtle detuning and chorus to disorienting microtonal clusters and strange dissonance. Version 2 of the Mirror House features a new "Flutter" mode, improved envelope sensitivity, and a reduced noise floor. The pedal offers three modes—Shift, Flutter, and Detune—which affect the behavior of the Amount and Animate controls. The Amount control dictates the static pitch shifting, while Animate applies modulation. A Voices control blends between the higher and lower pitch voices, and a Mix control adjusts the wet/dry balance. The pedal operates with true bypass via soft-touch relay switching.
