Pico Swello Polyphonic Bowed-like Swells
The Electro-Harmonix Pico Swello is an attack envelope pedal inspired by the legendary POG2 ATTACK slider, housed in a compact Pico-sized chassis. Its core effect is a polyphonic attack filter that applies individual volume swells to each note played, enabling "bowed instrument" sounds like a cello, even within chords and through sustained arpeggios. This unique effect is paired with an adjustable Low Pass Filter (LPF) for smooth swells and envelope filter-style effects. The pedal features a simple layout with four knobs and one button: VOL for overall output, ATTACK for setting the envelope time (from low settings that attenuate initial attack to higher settings for epic long swells), and FREQ and MOD controls for the LPF. The FILTER button engages the LPF, which includes adjustable low and high resonance settings. The MOD knob controls the depth and direction of the filter modulation, allowing for upward or downward filter sweeps akin to an envelope filter. The digital pedal uses buffered bypass and is available for a U.S. Street Price of $149.50.
