Fuzz Master General Legacy Reissue
The EarthQuaker Devices Fuzz Master General Legacy Reissue is a versatile Super-Fuzz pedal that expands upon the original circuit while retaining its characteristic swelling octave grind. It features an analog octave effect that works best with single notes, though chords produce a destructive, powerful sound. The pedal offers three distinct clipping modes via a three-way toggle switch: Mode 1 utilizes Germanium clipping for a more open and looser fuzz; Mode 2 uses Silicon clipping for a tighter, more compressed fuzz; and Mode 3 delivers a nearly clean octave-up effect, similar to ring modulation, using pure transistor drive. Controls include Fuzz for dialing in the amount of dirt, Tone for adjusting between darker, scooped tones (clockwise) and brighter, more open tones (counter-clockwise), and Level for output volume. It supports both standard latching and momentary operation via the footswitch. Each unit is hand-built in Akron, Ohio, and runs on a standard 9-volt DC negative center power supply.
