XS-1 Poly Shifter
The Boss XS-1 Poly Shifter is a polyphonic pitch-shifting pedal known for its class-leading quality and natural tone, realized through new BOSS algorithms. Designed for guitar, bass, and other instruments, it allows musicians to instantly change the pitch across a range of +/- seven semitones or up to +/- three octaves. Its polyphonic capability ensures a clear response and natural feel, preserving the instrument's fundamental sound character. Key features include a Balance knob to mix the dry and effected signals, a Detune function (+/- 20 cents) for rich doubling effects, and selectable pedal switch modes for toggle or momentary operation. The rotary Shift knob offers several semitone steps and octave jumps. The XS-1 also includes an expression pedal input for dynamic, real-time pitch bending and can connect to external footswitches to quickly access up to three different tuning setups.
