RT-2 Stereo Rotary Ensemble
The Boss RT-2 Rotary Ensemble is a compact effects pedal that authentically recreates the complex, expressive sonic magic of a classic rotary speaker cabinet. It features updated DSP and algorithms, condensing the typically large and heavy effect into a pedalboard-friendly footprint. The pedal offers three versatile modes: Mode I provides a warm, vintage Leslie 122-style sound; Mode II offers a wider tonal range, enhancing spatial effects with drive or distortion; and Mode III delivers enhanced definition with intense modulation and drive. The RT-2 provides deep tonal shaping with separate controls for "Slow" and "Fast" rotor speeds and natural speed ramping, which can be controlled via the footswitch or an external expression pedal. A Drive knob adds tube-like saturation, and a rear-panel switch allows this control to alternately adjust the balance between the treble and bass rotors. It features mono/stereo input and output and a virtual rotor display, making it a powerful and versatile tool for guitarists, bassists, and keyboardists seeking legendary rotary sounds.
